There has not been many public activity in the past year because the Starfish Community needed to clarify its purpose and structure. 

As a result of the streamlining process, we realised that a new name would better illustrate what we are all about: Oasis.

We imagine the Community as a place to rest after a long journey, a place to fill up on your energy and enthusiasm, a place to share, to give, to receive.  A place from which it becomes easy to continue our individual journey.

Also we realised that the purpose of the Community was not to take ownership of projects, whether cause-driven or business-oriented.  Rather, it is to provide the space where these projects can be dreamed, promoted, shared.  The project is owned by the individual(s) who initiate it and who are solely responsible for making it happen.

Of course, there still are community-based projects, like the organising of events.  Here again, it will be up to individuals to come together and organise an event - with the support of guidelines and with the support of previous hosts. 

We feel that this community is more about spiritual sponsorship, coaching, coming together, exchanging and supporting one another.  It is a platform, a safe haven, a creative, free and open space.
